Loughton Art Group

Loughton Art Group was formed in 1993, and provides a center for about 30 amateur artists of all abilities and styles to meet in a warm, friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

 

Whilst our weekly meetings are not classes or workshops as such, professional artist John Tookey is always on hand to advise and help develop ideas, techniques and composition.

 

In finer weather the group also organises days out to interesting venues such as Heybridge Basin, and occasionally enlists a model for figure drawing excersises.

 

In July each year the group exhibits at the Loughton Bowling Club, where many of the artworks are available for sale, and tea, wine, and cakes are available.
